Microsoft is reportedly taking another shot at “modernizing” its OS with Windows 12

In March 2023, XDA Developers, citing Windows Central, reported that Microsoft was developing a modular Windows initiative called CorePC that could appear with Windows 12 in 2024. The reported plans included device-specific versions of Windows, separated system partitions for faster updates, silicon optimization, and AI features.
